GRAND HARMONIC

Grand Harmonic have mainly been compared to The Pixies and Pumpkins, although Fleetwood Mac’s Albatross has also been mentioned, alongside Belle and Sebastian and The Mekons. If Johnny Cash had ever met Adam Ant this is what you'd probably get.

The music started with Nathan Dean's father who achieved chart success in the 60's with a band The Cheetahs. Successes included 2 Top 40 UK hits and NO 1's in 5 countries including Russia, Austria and Poland. They even appeared on the front cover of NME 5 times between 1964 and 1965.

A lot of famous people are in the network including Ozzy and Sharon (old family friends), Robert Plant (who used to borrow the family guitar), Slade, Wizzard, The Moody Blues and even Rod Stewart.

The Band

Nathan Dean		Nathan Dean – Front man and songwriter, Nathan Dean writes from the heart. He writes about his experiences in life in a way that people can identify his stories with their own. His main inspirations come from the likes of Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Robert Johnson, even Billy Bragg. His father also a songwriter had hits in the 1960’s and appeared on the front cover of NME 5 times in 1964. You could say that song writing is in his blood. He is currently toying with the idea of selling his bank account on ebay. Nathan Dean also played a significant part in the recent G20 protests against financial crimes.

Davey Licks		Davey Licks – Probably one of the best natural lead guitarists you’re ever likely to see. Davey, is quite introvert, he believes in the power and expression of music. He prefers to be part of the music, rather than be the focus of it.

Bassman Dan		Bassman Dan – Just a little widger at the tender age of 22, Dan and Nathan Dean have been friends for years. Without Dan there would never have been a Grand Harmonic. A fundamental part of the line up and indeed the stage show. He’s got a way with the girls, and an even better way with his bass lines.

Matt		Matt – aka Frank, Matt plays keyboards and trumpet, and played the part of Frank in the Bankers video. Frank is the guy at the end of the telephone who phones you up daily to hassle you to pay back money that you never owed in the 1st place. His key phrase is "for security reasons please can I have your zip code and the 1st line of your address".

Matty Sticks		Matty Sticks – Has a rather unique drum style, not conforming to the usual hit them as hard as you can routine, Matty prefers a more laid back approach. His beard grows longer by the day, and you’ll very rarely see him without his trademark hat. Matt’s drumming is integral to the Grand Harmonic sound.

Hannah Mae		Hannah Mae – Is Nathan Dean’s little sister. Not a full time band member although she has sung on a number of tracks. Hannah’s real talent lies in fashion, having worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Lulu Guinness and Vivien Westwood. She has openly stated how proud she is of her older brother for standing his ground against the banks, and for showing people what they are really up to.
